Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Vault3R application (Windows or Android) or the Vault3R website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept the Terms, do not use the application or make a payment.

2. Service description

Vault3R is a local-first password manager available for Windows and Android. All vault data (passwords, notes) is encrypted and stored locally on your device. An optional license can be purchased via Stellar (XLM) cryptocurrency payment (roughly equivalent to $5 USD, calculated dynamically at payment time).

3. Eligibility

To use Vault3R and/or purchase a license you must:

• be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction),
• have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement,
• use cryptocurrencies in compliance with applicable local laws (if purchasing a license),
• have the right to dispose of the funds you send.

4. Payment rules

• Amount: the exact XLM amount is shown on the payment page at the time of payment.
• MEMO: your payment must include the assigned memo / Payment ID, otherwise it may not be detected automatically.
• No refunds: cryptocurrency transactions are generally irreversible and payments are non-refundable.
• Responsibility: you are responsible for sending the correct address, amount, and memo.

5. License grant

After a payment is successfully detected, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Vault3R.

You may:

• install the application on one device per license,
• use the license without a time limit on that device,
• request technical support.

You may not:

• share, sell, or transfer the license,
• modify the app or reverse engineer it,
• use the same license on multiple devices at the same time,
• resell or distribute the software commercially.

6. Device binding

The license is bound to a single device (Hardware ID). This helps prevent sharing one license across multiple devices and abuse from a single payment. To use Vault3R on another device, you need a new license.

7. Cloud Sync feature

Vault3R includes an optional Cloud Sync feature that transfers the vault between devices via an ephemeral encrypted relay server.

• Vault data is encrypted end-to-end before transmission.
• The relay server holds the encrypted blob temporarily (max 5 minutes) and deletes it immediately after download.
• No vault data is permanently stored on any server.
• Use of Cloud Sync is optional and requires explicit user action.

8. Autofill service (Android)

Vault3R provides an Android Autofill service that suggests stored credentials in supported apps and browsers. The Autofill service operates entirely on-device and does not transmit credential data to any external server.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND APPLICATION ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

We do not guarantee, in particular:

• continuous availability of online services (e.g. activation, sync relay),
• error-free operation in every environment,
• compatibility with all devices and configurations.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• a lost or stolen license key,
• lost vault data (backups are the user's responsibility),
• data loss due to forgotten master password,
• crypto transaction mistakes (wrong address/amount/memo),
• network or blockchain delays,
• issues with third-party wallets or exchanges.

11. User responsibilities

You are responsible, in particular, for:

• keeping your master password secure (there is no recovery mechanism),
• creating regular backups of your vault data,
• keeping your license key secure,
• not sharing the license with others,
• sending the exact amount shown on the payment page and the exact memo (if purchasing),
• complying with local cryptocurrency laws.

12. Intellectual property

All rights to Vault3R, including code, UI, and branding, belong to the author/operator of the service.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute materials without permission.

13. Termination and violations

We may:

• block a license in case of Terms violations,
• refuse service in the event of fraud/abuse.

No refunds are provided in case of blocking/termination.

Support email: support@vault3r.pl. We do not guarantee a specific response time.

Updates are provided at our discretion. Future versions may include functional and technical changes.

16. Third-party services

The service may depend on:

• the Stellar network (public blockchain, for license purchase),
• your wallet used to send XLM,
• hosting (availability of server/endpoints),
• Google Play (for app distribution on Android).

We are not responsible for outages of services beyond our control.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Polish law, unless mandatory provisions of law provide otherwise.

18. Dispute resolution

We will try to resolve disputes amicably. If no agreement is reached, the competent court is in Poland.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the application or payment page indicates acceptance of changes.

20. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and FAQ, constitute the complete set of rules for using Vault3R, payments, and licensing.
